I went to see Bubba Jones today because he said he might be able to help me filter out background noise on my short video, "Au Revoir". He was a no show. I spent several months trying to arrange a visit to his post production studio and was really excited to finally be able to get the video completed.
Wanted to know if there's anyone who can help me filter out a fan, camcorder noise and door slamming out of my 4.5 minute video for free? I can offer credit as well as my help on a project of yours. The video was screened at a Women In Film meeting a few months back and got great reviews. Will be submitting it to film festivals.
Thank you
Laurie Gabriel

Don't forget about the Emerald City screening, tickets are on sale now and you can purchase them here: Emerarld City and STIFF tickets.
Last weekend Seattle True Independent Film Festival people challenged STIFF participants to create a film in 2 weeks to premier at the festival in the STIFF Film Challenge. The crew at Crooked Lake Productions rose to the challenge and mastered a horrific little short called, Listeners?
Listeners: After losing his job, Percy Shilling turns his uneventful life into a fantasy world by following the story from an abnormal audio book. As his obsession with the story grows, the lines between fiction and reality dim and he believes killing is his appropriate path. "The controlled reading creates a tense atmosphere and the jazzy segues between chapters lightens the tone just enough to make "Listeners" feel uncertain about where the book is taking them."
The STIFF Film Challenge is a collaborative film project where filmmaking teams compete to put together the best film over a 2 week period. The focus this year was to create several, short, distinct movies that resulted in one unified film. The goal is to promote cooperation among film makers and bring together the local film making community.
Show Times are:
9:30 PM Mon, Jun 08
9:15 PM Tue, Jun 09
1:30 PM Sat, Jun 13

Emerald City Show Times and Tickets
Crooked Lake Productions received news last week, that their award-winning short film, Emerald City, was accepted into Seattle’s True Independent Film Festival (STIFF). After travelingthe globe to numerous film festivals, most notably to the Cannes Film Festival and the 16th Raindance Film Festival, Emerald City will now show in the city it was named after.
Written and directed by filmmaker Henry McComas, the film tells the story of Elijah, an aspiring hip hop artist haunted by his brother’s death and the struggles of becoming a man. The director’s desire was to visually portray to his deaf brother his passion for hiphop in the city he loves. McComas explains, “Words cannot express how excited I am to share this piece with you; this is a dream come true, maybe more like a vision.” Emerald City will be premiering June 5th at Central Cinema, and playing at both the Northwest Film Forum and the Jewel Box Theater. For more information on Emerald City and future projects visit www.crookedlp.com.

Movie Business Booming In Vancouver
14 April 2009 2:47 AM, PDT
A combination of the strengthening U.S. dollar and substantial tax incentives has helped boost film and TV production in Vancouver, even as Hollywood production has declined. As reported Monday by TheWrap.com, which cited figures by the British Columbia Film Commission, this year 15 feature films have been/are being shot inVancouver versus 10 a year ago. Eleven TV series have been/are being shot in Vancouver versus seven a year ago. By contrast, The Wrap observed, only three "blockbuster budgeted" films are scheduled to filmin Hollywood this year versus 21 a year ago.
