"A man visited HELL and found a long dinner table where there was constant agitation and fighting. None of the diners were getting fed because before them lay forks that were 4 feet long--way too long to use.
That same man visited Heaven and saw the same long dinner table but this time people were laughing and enjoying themselves. The difference was, everyone was getting fed because they were feeding each other.
For years, the Seattle film scene was characterized by people fighting for pieces of a relatively non-existent pie. About six years ago, that all changed. The organizations and the individuals in town began to realize that there was much more to be gained by working together, by supporting one another, by celebrating each individual success because it brought greater glory to the community. Seattle Area Filmmakers seems to by another step in this direction and I welcome it."
